Lustrous metallic galena, perched on smaller modified galena cubes that are dusted with golden chalcopyrite.   Approximately 2 inches tall.

Galena is a silver colored mineral that forms cubic and octahedral crystals.   It’s the most important ore of lead, and has high specific gravity, so it feels quite heavy in the hand.  It is commonly associated with calcite, dolomite, and chalcopyrite.
