Quartz and Apophyllite

This specimen of quartz has incredible luster which creates a dazzling glitter effect, be sure to check out the video.  The quartz covers the black volcanic matrix giving, the piece a nice dark black color.  A single clear apophyllite crystal is perched in one corner, marking the specimen as a clear product of the famous Deccan Traps locality.

This material can be called by its trade name, "Black Chalcedony."
